The report that Shayma also brought her parents Halimah al-Sa'diyah and her husband before the Prophet ﷺ at this time is transmitted through a weaker chain (al-Bayhaqi).
At the Battle of Hunayn, the Muslims fought and defeated several tribes. Among them was Banu Sa'd ibn Bakr, the desert tribe that had fostered the Prophet ﷺ when he was a baby. After the battle, the prisoners of war were led to Ji'ranah. One of the women began to shout, asking how they dared treat her this way when she was the sister of their own companion.
She was Shayma, the daughter of the Prophet ﷺ's wet-nurse, Halimah al-Sa'diyah, and so his foster sister. She had helped care for him as a baby, some 56 years earlier. The astonished companions told the Prophet ﷺ, and he asked them to bring her to him.
Outcome: The Prophet ﷺ asked her how he could know that she was Shayma. She replied that she still had the mark on her back where he had bitten her as a baby, while she was carrying him. The Prophet ﷺ laughed, knowing that no one else could know this story. He freed her and gave her many gifts. He offered to let her stay with the Muslims and be treated with honour, or to go back to her tribe with gifts. She chose to return to her tribe. It is not known whether she accepted Islam. A weaker report, recorded by al-Bayhaqi, adds that Shayma also brought her elderly parents, Halimah al-Sa'diyah and her husband, who had fostered the Prophet ﷺ. In this report, the Prophet ﷺ stood up for Halimah, laid his own shawl on the ground for her to sit on, and gave them many gifts. The report does not say whether they accepted Islam.

Received the highest honor from my foster son ﷺ: he rose for me and laid his own shawl on the ground for me to sit upon, and gave me many gifts.
How dare you treat me like this?! Don't you know I am the sister of your own companion?!
Being led in among the captives from Hunayn, she called out to whoever was escorting her as a prisoner.
I am his (Prophet Muhammad's ﷺ) foster sister!
Said when the astonished Companions asked what she meant.
I am Shayma.
How do I know you are Shayma?
He had not seen her in 56 years, since he was now around 60.
I still have the mark on my back that you bit me one time when I was carrying you as a baby.
I have two choices for you: Either you stay with us and we shall treat you honorably, or I shall gift you and you can go back to your tribe.
He laughed, recognizing this as something only Shayma could know.
Chose to return to my tribe rather than remain, and was released with gifts.
It is not known whether Shayma accepted Islam.
