Passed away in the 8th year of the Hijrah at around 31 years of age, after years of pain from injuries sustained in a fall from her camel during her own emigration from Makkah to Madinah.
Zaynab RA was the eldest daughter of the Prophet ﷺ. She was born about ten years before he began calling people to Islam, and she died in the 8th year of the Hijrah, at around 31 years of age.
Years earlier, while she was emigrating from Makkah to Madinah, she fell from her camel. She suffered bleeding from which she never fully recovered, and she remained in pain for the next eight years until her death.
Her husband, Abu al-As ibn al-Rabi', stayed outside Islam for years after she emigrated. When his caravan was captured by the Muslims, Zaynab famously called out at the Fajr prayer, "I have given him protection!" He was later returned to her under safe conduct, and he eventually accepted Islam himself.
Three of the Prophet ﷺ's four daughters died during his lifetime. Ruqayyah RA died first, then Zaynab RA, and then Umm Kulthum RA. Only Fatima RA outlived him, and she died six months after him.
